The Oman Medical Association holds its fourth meeting for the year 2023

The Board of Directors of the Oman Medical Association (OMA) held its fourth meeting for the year 2023. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Waleed Bin Khalid Al Zadjali, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and was attended by the members of the Board of Directors (in person and via video communication).
During the meeting, the items on the agenda were discussed, most notably: launching the association’s training program. This discussion considered a number of aspects related to different medical specialties, and reviewed the viewpoints related to establishing the board of directors of the training center. Additionally, the discussion overviewed the association’s most prominent needs for the coming period.
During the meeting, the regulations related to approvals of international conferences of scientific societies were discussed and recommendations were made regarding the matter. The meeting also discussed the official international registration and launching of OMA’s scientific journal in order to enhance the association’s role in the research and academic fields. The meeting concluded by reviewing the tasks of the different committees assigned by the association’s Board of Directors, and discussed areas of development and advancement of the tasks and the responsibilities assigned to them.
Regarding the launch of the association’s training programs: Dr. Waleed Bin Khalid Al Zadjali indicated that the training programs that are expected to be launched in next October is in accordance with the objectives and specializations of the Oman Medical Association. He highlighted that these training programs will enhance and develop the scientific background and knowledge of the members of the association, especially the doctors who are aiming to enrich their professional skills and competencies. He mentioned that the association will be providing specialized training programs in accordance with the latest international standards, which will provide the members with the necessary skills to excel in their professional lives.
Dr. Waleed further added that the training programs will be implemented and conducted in partnership with GATES group, one of the leading companies in Middle East in the field of education and training. The association looks forward to selecting a group of specialized medical topics on which training will be conducted. Each specialized training program will be conducted over a period of a few days.
